Ferngully Lodge is a privately owned and operated campsite committed to a high standard of care in a friendly relaxed environment. Catering for the needs of many and varied groups has been our trademark for many years looking after:
With such close proximity to Melbourne, travel times are minimised meaning more of your valuable time is spent at the camp rather than on a bus. click here to see where we are
Most of the campsite is occupied by buildings, activities and landscaped lawns with the remainder being typical Healesville ferns and bracken. The campsite was originally a Guest House built in the late 1930’s. Since 1984 and more recently, many renovations have taken place adapting the buildings to suit a multipurpose campsite. The campsite is open and allows for easy access between buildings and recreation areas.
A fire lookout tower is situated on nearby Mt St Leonards which means that a considerable warning would be likely if a major fire outbreak occurred within a 40km radius. This was evident on the tragic ‘Black Saturday’ of 7th February 2009.
Ferngully Lodge is an accredited campsite. The comprehensive Accreditation program ‘Camping with Confidence’ has been introduced by the Department of Education and the Camping Association of Victoria.
We have not only met the twenty-four requirements but are committed to offering a safe environment where the wellbeing of campers is our highest priority.
